Summer Reading Header

Summer is the perfect time to relax, explore new interests, and get lost in a great book. Maintaining reading habits over the summer helps students strengthen comprehension skills, expand vocabulary, and stay prepared for the year ahead. It also fosters imagination and a lifelong love of learning.

To support every reader, we’ve gathered a variety of resources, from book lists to digital libraries, that make it easy to find something engaging for every age and interest. Explore the links below and help make reading a meaningful part of your summer!

Steve's Reading Rockstars

Reading adventures happen everywhere during the summer, and we would love to celebrate them with you! Whether you are stopping by Steve’s to redeem your free hot dog, signing up for the Summer Reading Challenge at the library, or enjoying a good book at home, we want to see it all. Students may send up to 6 photos to Mrs. Wood this summer, one photo for each completed reading log, to earn extra prizes in the fall. Help us celebrate a summer full of reading fun!

Flat Rosie is ready for a summer full of adventures, and you can take her along wherever you go! Follow her travels on the interactive map below and see all the exciting places Rosie visits this summer. Don’t forget to snap photos with Flat Rosie on your own adventures and share them with Mrs. Wood by email to be added to the map. We can’t wait to see where Rosie travels next!
